BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES

PRTHAILAND was established by knowledgeable and esteemed scholars, PR and Communication executives, marketing and advertising gurus, integrated marketing communicators and media executives, ranging from broadcasting, radio and television, to digital media and other media-related networks, from both the public and private sector. The objective of PRTHAILAND is (1) to provide support for career development in the aforementioned fields at all levels by channelling professional practice in line with social and technological evolution and (2) to create an integration in communication network that will contribute to Thailandís communication development, image, social and economic advancement.

- Supports academic research and To ensure constant and fruitful development, PRTHAILAND provides support for academic research from its nascent stage of production to integrated media distribution. It also promotes academic activities in such fields as nor only public relations, corporate communication, marketing and mass media communication, broadcasting, radio, television and digital technologies, but also in education and in organization from both the public and private sectors.educational development.

- Acknowledges personnel within the field, their contribution and merits. PRTHAILAND recognises and honours outstanding personnel in the PR and communication sectors for their academic and non-academic contribution to the field, the society and the country.

- Improves and fortifies, using PR tools, Thailandís image as well as key institutions. PRTHAILAND is instrumental in promoting Thai values, art, culture, tourism, social development and the quality of life both nationally and internationally.

- Promotes professional values. PRTHAILAND raises awareness of the importance of public relations, corporate communication, marketing and mass media communication, broadcasting, radio, television and digital technology and encompasses all telecommunication activities. It also helps realise their fullest potential in administration and operation for the benefit of this professional field and society at large.

- Interacts with the public by creating social and business networks based on the best practice of good governance. PRTHAILAND engages with the public, which includes not only individuals but also organizations inside and outside the communication field, by means of social interaction, education and application. It places emphasis on and promotes beneficial dialogues in society.
